EPISODE DESCRIPTION

By Tyler Whitson.
Recorded: 2013-05-02.
Air date: 2013-05-03.

The two chambers of the Florida Legislature have hit a major disagreement on how to enact health care reform in the state, with Republicans in the Florida House of Representatives refusing to accept the $51 billion of funds that the federal government would offer to Florida as part of the Affordable Care Act.

For more information about the discussions in the Florida Legislature, I spoke with Karen Woodall, Executive Director at the Florida Center for Fiscal and Economic Policy, who has been sitting in on the current legislative discussion in Tallahassee.
